How to disable your internal DVD Drive if it's broken
If you are using an external DVD Drive because the internal DVD Drive is broken you may want to disable it in the device manager so that the Advanced Media Player will default to the external DVD Drive.
- Right Click the Windows Start Button
- Click Device Manager
- Locate CD/DVD ROM drives
- Click on > to expand section
- Right Click the DVD Drive that doesn't say USB and then Click Disable
- Confirm that you want to disable the device
