Setting Up Netflix For Advanced Media Player

Follow the below steps to set up Netflix for use in Advanced Media Player:

  1. Select Advanced Media Player from the Feedback tab in the Cygnet right panel.



  2. Once Advanced Media Player opens, select Netflix from the Video Menu in the right panel.



  3. The Netflix window will open in Advanced Media Player and display a message instructing you to install Firefox.  Even if you already have Firefox installed on your computer, you must complete this step.  Click the ?Open Firefox Download Page? button.



  4. Your web browser will automatically open a page on Somaticvision.com. Click on the link indicated to download the Firefox installer.



  5. If prompted, choose to Save File or run file (options and look may appear differently depending on which browser you are using).



  6. Open or Run the file setup file that was just downloaded. (If you are currently using the Firefox browser, click the arrow at the top of the menu to locate the file that has been saved and click on it once to launch the new Firefox setup program)



  7. After launching the Firefox Setup file, close the web browser you were just using.
  8. Once the Firefox Setup window opens. Click through the setup utility, following the prompts.



  9. In the last step of the Firefox Setup click the Next button. This will open a new Firefox browser window.



  10. When the Firefox browser window opens, click the Sign In button in upper right-hand corner to sign in to Netflix.



  11. Sign In to Netflix (must have an existing account set up).



  12. If after signing in you see the message highlighted in yellow at the top of the window, wait 1 minute and then click the Refresh button to refresh the browser. The yellow message should disappear.



  13. Once signed in, select the profile you wish to use (It is recommended to make an adult profile and a children's profile to filter available content). You may watch anything available for streaming.
  14. When the movie you've selected is successfully playing, you can stop it and close that Firefox window.
  15. Exit Cygnet.
  16. Restart Cygnet.
  17. Launch Netflix within Advanced Media Player (see steps 1 and 2 above).
  18. Sign into Netflix (in the Advanced Media Player window).
  19. Select a video to play.
  20. If the video does not play and you get a screen like the one shown below, try exiting Cygnet and restarting it.
